ASCII Studio is a full-featured ASCII art generator you can try right in the browser.

What you can do

• Image → ASCII — Upload a photo, image, GIF, or video and convert it to ASCII with real-time preview.
• Text → ASCII — Type text and render it in dozens of bitmap fonts (Block, Shadow, 3D, Script, and more).
• Layers — Compose multiple ASCII layers (image + text, multiple images) and export the result.
• Retro mode — Turn images and animations into Game Boy / NES / SNES / GBA-style pixel art with limited palettes and dithering.

Customization

• Choose from many character sets (density, blocks, symbols).
• Adjust size, aspect ratio, contrast, and brightness.
• Color or grayscale output; custom foreground/background colors.
• Dithering (Bayer, Floyd–Steinberg, etc.) and optional CRT-style effects.

Export

• TXT — Plain text.
• HTML — Styled page, optional animation for GIFs.
• SVG — Vector, scalable.

How to use

1. Pick a tab: Image, Text, Layers, or Retro.
2. For Image/Retro: drag & drop a file or click to upload.
3. For Text: type your text and pick a font and size.
4. For Layers: add layers (image or text), arrange them, then preview.
5. Tweak settings in the left panel (or in the menu on mobile).
6. Use Export to download in your preferred format, or Copy to paste elsewhere.
